Happy Valentine's Day to the love of my life!

Once upon a time, there were two college students at BYU.... (Rare, I know!)

HE was a senior.
SHE was a freshman.

HE was in the animation department.
SHE was in the illustration department.

Seven months after they had first met in an open figure drawing session, they met again in the spring.
HE remembered her name.
SHE wanted to remember his.

HE was invited over that night to do homework and make fun of Daredevil with mutual friends.
SHE was invited that weekend on a date to the Springville Art Museum, followed by dessert at Leatherby's.

Three nights later THEY shared their first smoldering kiss.

THEY studied together.
THEY drew together.
THEY went to church together.
THEY laughed often together.
THEY just felt better together.

THEY decided to go to a beautiful ball that fall.
HE knelt and proposed at the end of the night.
SHE was very happy to accept.
The ring was just right.
The night was just right.
The choice of spouse perfect for both.

About two months later, THEY met each other with their families in San Diego.
THEY were sealed together in marriage, not just for time, but for all eternity.
Never again would man and woman be parted,
Two made one.

It is my sincerest belief that WE are an unbreakable set
WE have shared four lovely years,
full of triumph,
plenty of tears,
and growth without measure.

Every day WE live as each other's best friend.
We still share art, church, study, and laughter.
We are still as mushily in love as when we first met --
and kiss far more frequently than these rare photos.
I'm pretty sure that as we grow old together, we will not grow old of each other's company.

.

Life is simple and sweet with you, Beloved.

In every new phase and challenge of life,
I hope to be your equal and strength as you are mine.

Happiest of Days to my dearest Valentine....

For Always.
